71/365 Vicki

Vicki doles out favors like someone trying to hand out advertising leaflets at busy intersections, but not if her daughter asks. Vicki manages to mimic sincerity: Sorry dear. Vicki’s daughter gets what Vicki thinks she needs, and only when Vicki thinks of it herself.

What a shame. Do you think was all have patterns and behaviors that we're blind to but that observant others can see so clearly? I hope not.

Yeah, I think we all do.

And others probably don't even have to be that observant to see them.

A vivid portrait, and painfully believable.

withholding favors, (or love), can be just another way of controlling someone ... how sad for all the lost opportunities, and for all those empty words that Vicki's daughter will carry in her heart
